Project Description

The Covid-19 pandemic brought many challenges to local authorities tasked with providing the allocation and distribution of resources to the most vulnerable in their communities. Central Bedfordshire was one such Council.

Central Bedfordshire is one such council. As an innovative solution to help local families, LMAC were appointed to  refurbish and upgrade a dilapidated Days Inn motel into apartments for families, including people with disabilities.

This was an ideal project for LMAC as all divisions were utilised for this project

The existing apartments were refurbished to have a living room, bedroom areas, private kitchens and bathrooms with their own secure front door.

We installed new entry systems and emergency equipment, including specialised door release, fire compartmentation and smoke detection alarms for resident’s safety.
